BARBECUE SAUCE FOR MEATS
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2/3 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 qt. tomato catsup
- 4 tbls. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbls. prepared mustard
- 2 cups water
Brown onions and celery in margarine. Add remaining ingredients in above order. Simmer for 15-30 minutes. Can be stored or canned for future use. Yields 4 qts.
